Family Mass

What is the Family Mass?
Family Mass is typically held on the first Sunday of the month, at 10:00 a.m.  Its purpose is to give children and their families a greater sense of participation in the Sunday Mass of the parish.  It is a wonderful way for families to get to know each other; especially school families that have other home parishes.  In addition, there is a special coffee hour after Mass.

How can we participate?
Planning and preparation are by grade level.  Scripture readings will be e-mailed in advance of the planning meeting so that children and their parents may reflect on them.  This year, planning will be done by students during their religion class.  Students will determine the theme, petitions and readers for their Mass.  For all those actively participating at the altar, there is a mandatory rehearsal.  A reminder flyer will be distributed to your child's class as their Mass approaches.
