Transfiguration School

Midnight Run

Midnight Run is an organization which collects and distributes food, clothing and other necessities to the homeless living on New York City streets.

The Transfiguration Midnight Run occurs once a month, on a designated Friday.  Each student is asked to bring a "Midnight Run meal" into school that day for collection. Please be sure to clearly label the meal "Midnight Run" so that there is no confusion between the Midnight Run donation and a child's lunch.

Each meal should consist of the following items:
  • a sandwich (no peanut butter and jelly)
  • piece of fruit
  • drink
  • hard boiled egg (in shell)
  • dessert/snack
If you do not have all these items available, please feel free to send in any of the above food items. The missing items will be filled in before the meals are distributed.

Donations of men's new white socks and men's new white underwear are greatly appreciated. Toiletries (toothbrushes, travel-sized toothpaste, shampoo, disposable razors, etc.) are also needed.

Thank  you for your generosity.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Doug Zollo (914-631-8715).
