$20,000 Raffle Grand Prize Drawing: April 24, 2010
What is the $20,000 raffle? Each spring, the Transfiguration Parents' Guild holds a 50/50
raffle with $20,000 going to the raffle winner and $20,000 provided to support the school's operating budget.
When is the raffle drawing? The drawing for the $20,000 Grand Prize takes place at the Spring Auction
on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
When do raffle sales begin? The raffle subscription form is sent home to each school family,
in late January. School families will be given an exclusive two-week period, until February 8, 2010, to purchase
raffle chances to meet their annual fundraising obligation. Simply
complete the form and return it to school, along with a check by Monday, February 8th, to be assigned a raffle number. After
that date, raffle sales will be extended to include all members of the parish and community until all 400 chances have been
sold.
What happens if more than 400 people want to buy a raffle chance? Except for school families,
money received after all 400 chances have been sold, will be returned. However, checks sent in by school families, after
all 400 chances have been sold, will be applied towards their fundraising obligation, if not already met.
Who can enter the raffle? Really,
anyone can enter the raffle. However, all school families are expected to support this raffle by buying two chances for themselves
or selling those chances to co-workers, friends and family members. Some families have had great success selling group tickets.
How should I make out my check? Checks should be made out to the Transfiguration School
Parents Guild.

the two fundraisers that school families are obligated to support. Of course, those families that have opted-out by paying the one-time fee of $400 are exempt from this fundraiser.
Do I need to attend the drawing to win?It is not necessary to be present to win, but all those who purchase chances to win are invited
for light fare, beverages, and an evening that promises to be fun!
How many chances are sold? Only 400 chances are sold.
How can I buy more chances? It's simple. Just complete the raffle subscription form, available
in the school office, the church rectory or that can be downloaded from the school website
Where do I send my check
and raffle subscription form? Complete the raffle subscription
form and return it, along with a check, to the Transfiguration Parents' Guild, 40 Prospect Avenue, Tarrytown, NY 10591.
