Transfiguration School

Music Program

Transfiguration School is very proud of the large number of students who actively participate in our music program. Music gives students valuable lifelong skills such as attention to detail, self confidence, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Our music teachers are provided through the Paul Effman School of Music and students begin taking part in regularly scheduled music classes in Grade 3.

Recorder

Students begin formal music lessons at school by learning to play the Recorder in Grade 3. This class helps build a music foundation, preparing students for future instrumental music study on any instrument.

Music Lessons

Music lessons are offered for a wide variety of instruments as part of the school curriculum for 3rd through 8th grades.

Band Program

Band is available as an elective for 5th through 8th grades. All band students receive a small group lesson and a full band rehearsal once a week.

Student Choir

The Student Choir Program begins at the 6th grade level.
