Drop-Off, Dismissal and School Parking

Reduce Congestion, Take The Bus

It is strongly suggested that all students K-8 take their school bus in order to reduce the numbers of cars in the parking lot, therefore, making it safer for the students who need to be driven.

Morning Drop-Off Procedures

Students may not be dropped off and left alone on the school steps before 7:45 a.m. The school doors will be unlocked at 7:45 a.m.   The school day begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. Please ensure that your child arrives on time so as not to disrupt the beginning of classes. All children and adults must enter and leave the building through the main entrance doors, only.  Parents of children in grades K-8 should say goodbye in the lobby of the school and allow students to walk to their classroom unescorted. Parents must not walk down the halls in the morning or attempt to engage a teacher in an impromptu conference. Teachers who are on morning duty must stay focused on the students to ensure their safety.

Afternoon Dismissal Procedures

Students who take the bus home will be dismissed at 2:25 p.m.    Students who are picked up, "walkers", will be dismissed after the buses have left the parking lot at 2:30 p.m.

Parking

Parents who must drive their children to school are reminded to park away from the building, outside the cones, and escort your children to the steps of the school. Only faculty and buses are allowed in the first lane, closest to the building.
