4/7/17

Dear Parents,

Thank you again for all your patience with the work being done in the school.  Currently we are still operating by generator and awaiting approval of our electrial plan from Con Edison.  We are hoping that the work on the new panel will begin shortly.

Calendar –  Please don’t forget April 12 we are open for a full day and April 13 we have an 11:45 Dismissal.  The After School program will be available on April 13.  If your child will be attending the After School Program on 4/13, please send them a lunch.

Foul Language – It has come to my attention again that students are using bad language in ALL grades. I don’t know what is going on with the students, perhaps it is too much social media.  I will be conducting monthly class meetings with the parents to discuss what is happening in particular grades.  I will also have a class assembly and have ADAPP come and speak with the children about using hurtful words and bad language.  If you have any questions, I am available to discuss this matter.  ADAPP has been committed to developing resilient, productive youth, ready to face each and every challenge the future will present.

While every generation has faced its dilemmas, the issues children encounter today are especially challenging. Potential substance abuse – be it drugs, alcohol, tobacco or even prescription and over-the-counter medications – bullying, school violence, online safety, stress and anxiety are just a few of the roadblocks that can interfere with their educational journey.

ADAPP is committed to helping our schools create a safe, supportive environment where children can learn and grow into healthy adults.
